Art Iroke n Tokyo

Keeping with the times and my style of Art Iroke photography here's a few more photos of some of the talent that I've worked with the b/w photo is my main muse, we've been doing shoots for 6 years now. "it's something about her eyes". Iroke at it's best. Working with each model demands special attention to detail & emotions. Our photo shoots always seem to get the
desired results, so we just keep doing our thing.

Tokyo Iroke my Style

Shooting beautiful japanese women has been a driving force of my genre and art style for the past 5 years.
Capturing there inner beauty and sex appeal on film has allowed me to take some great photos and meet some
interesting ladies. But the next step is to take my art / photography to another level, to make it more artistic "without photoshop".
Tokyo Iroke has been one of the pillars of my work along with shooting street scenes and taking other various photos. It took a couple of years before I realized that this is what I'm interested in doing. While it was right in front of my face I didn't think i could make this my genre but it really took off last year. However as I continue to expand I've realized that simple photography has it's limits. So my work is about to evolve into some more artistic more original so to speak. So if you've been checking out Tokyo Iroke stay tuned for something new and
enjoy the photos.

These ladies have Iroke

Charm and intelligence all wrapped in one.
These three beautiful and sophisticated ladies are my main muses and we've been doing photo shoots together
since 2006. I must say that photographing each of them is always a challenge since they are both very artistic people and have very different
styles and ideas, so the end results of each photo is very different. I'll be posting a few of their more recent photos soon. so keep your eyes peeled.

This is Tokyo

I was going through some photos and it came to my attention that these two pictures just had to be part of Tokyo Iroke. So here they are the first one I took in Ueno back in 2000 it's an old movie billboard, the 2nd one is Shinjuku, Kabukicho 2004. This is
a part of Tokyo that is always changing and has fast paced night life that also includes one of Tokyo's red light districts.

Nubile Expressions 2010

Last year and 2010 has brought some new ideas to mind. So I came up with Nubile Expressions this is my 7th Solo Exhibition in Tokyo, and I'm happy that I'll be able to show some recent photographs of the Japanese women that I've captured on film. I'll keep you posted.

Well the opening party was a success and the closing party was as much a smash! over 30 people turned up and I was
delighted to here the positive comments and to have such a following, I'd like to thank all who came for their support.
Above is a photo of some of the guests, It was held in Shinjuku 3 chome, @ Gallery Bricorage. And now it's time to get to work on my next project.

Doing my thing

Photography comes from the eye "the minds eye" to be more on point.
And film photography is still the ultimate when it comes to expressing
yourself with a camera. My work only deals with film format. My goal
is to present something untouched by the advances of technology
such as photoshop. I'm here to stay true to the art of fine photography.

She's gotta have it

The look is something we all want, and respect.
To be worshiped and cherished is human even if the she is a he, via-a-via the competition for everyone to receive their just
desserts is on the top of the list, just so you know how to strut your stuff and turn heads you can always find an audience. This is captured in a moment of yearning,
and the need to be in control.

Tokyo Iroke Entertainment

More than glamour I get a chance now and then to photograph live concerts, I've done a few local gigs but recently I was able to work with the talented B. Howard on Sept 29th 2010 at Billboard Live in Tokyo. The show was off the hook and I'm looking forward to working with other artists in the near future. Keeping it real!!!

Paradise

Even though this is not Tokyo and the Iroke theme is absent I just felt the need to show these two photographs that I took while I was in Thailand in 2004. At that time I was using a Nikon F80.
Sunset on a small private beach near Krabi, the afternoons where especially hot and every evening the sunsets were like this, it was truly paradise.

Tokyo Iroke takes off

"My women" I use the term very loosely in actuality most of the women I've met and shot here in Tokyo and the Kanto area are just out there
trying to enjoy life and doing their own thing. Getting them involved or interested in having their photos taken
can be an experience in itself. However I've been fortunate enough to have been able to build a repertoire
with over a dozen beautiful and very interesting ladies.

2007 brought something new I held a Solo Exhibition in Tokyo, Shinjuku 2 chome entitled L' Artiste Nu at Cocolo cafe. It was my first exhibition focusing on male and female nudity and eroticism. I wanted to project something sexual and alluring I was able to photograph some very interesting people and it all came together quite well. I've added the Bio in Japanese and a few pictures of the event this was the beginning of Tokyo Iroke and the start of my style of photography that I call Art Glamour Iroke photography.

【L'ARTISTE NU】

Creativity

What is Tokyo Iroke?

Tokyo Iroke is a window to the beauty of Japanese women in pictures.
Iroke means sexy, charm, and glamour. The photographs taken are meant
to show an expression of their feminine nature.
